This module provides the functionality for customers to "save" their credit card for use on future purchases, by creating new payment method for Authorize.net's Customer Information Manager (CIM).

Authorize.Net's Customer Information Manager (CIM) allows you to create and store customer profiles and credit cards on Authorize.Net's secure servers for later use. This gives returning customers the convenience of not needing to re-enter that information each time they purchase.

When a customer first checks out using the Authorize.Net CIM payment method, they are given a form to enter credit card details. If they choose to store this card, the next time they make a purchase they can either enter a new card or choose one they used previously. If they no longer want to keep a credit card on file, there is a section added to 'My Account' where they can view, edit, and delete their stored cards.

We installed True Edit Orders and CIMple on Magento Enterprise 1.13.0.2 with the new Argento theme, as well as a very helpful extension bundled with that purchase, Order Archive, to support mass archive and delete of orders. The Edit Order and Order Archive user interfaces are clear, and easy for our customer support reps to learn and use. The CIMple implementation is easy for customers to use during checkout to enter a new credit card or use a saved card, or to view or delete saved credit cards securely later. These two products, with reauthorization from Authorize.net, will let us update orders and recharge as needed, without having to call customers to get credit cards again. We’ll remain in PCI Compliance, too, without having credit cards stored on our system.

The first time I called with questions, I was able to speak directly with developer. He promptly answered my questions about the demo, about certain files, and using the event fired after order edit. It was easy to change that event dispatch slightly to get the order id I needed to integrate with our bridge to our accounting system. After I updated our UPS API code to check for whether I was in frontend or Admin mode, and not use Quote if the latter, I was also able to get UPS shipping rates updated with Edit order at our negotiated rates.

When I hit some integration issues with Argento checkout, the developer even changed the way some checkout javascript got included so that CIM would work with Argento. This kind of extra support really gives me confidence in trusting such a critical business function to Open Commerce.

Due to the variables and potential conflicts with other 3rd party Magento modules, we offer a 15 day, money-back guarantee. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase within 15 days of your purchase, simply send an email with your Order Number and purchase date, along with a refund request, to sales@opencommercellc.com.  At our discretion, we may extend this up to 60 days.

 

If you do experience difficulty with your module, our support team is ready to attempt to duplicate the issue and verify the cause. If a bug is discovered in our module, we'll immediately add the issue to our bug list for patching. Please be prepared to:

 

    • Provide access to the Magento installation where the module was implemented (could be a sub.domain)
    • Have a list of any installed 3rd party modules, or any modifications to the Magento Core (if any), and
    • Engage in a live (non-email) conversation to troubleshoot together. Live chat or a phone call is typically the best (we can also use Skype for international customers).
